At Studio Michael McCready, design is a tactile process—each piece is treated as an experience in transformation. The studio works directly with standard industrial materials such as metal beams and corner profiles, cutting, bending, and refining them to expose their inherent character. Through manipulation and experimentation, these familiar materials are reshaped into layered, evolving industrial forms that connect deeply with their owners.

Michael McCready is a designer maker from Glasgow, Scotland, with an interest in tactile, experience driven design. After finishing his studies in Glasgow, he moved to Eindhoven in 2011 where he managed the workshop of Studio Nacho Carbonell and began producing his earlier works. Later Michael moved to Vilnius, Lithuania and established his own practice. Here he works on his own limited edition products as well as industrial design consultation and large scale manufacturing projects.

The design aesthetic created by the studio is one of combining organic and industrial forms with contrasting textural elements. The unique qualities that also come from a craft approach is very important, bringing depth and character to the objects and an added artistic value to the owner.
