The ''Steel Barrel’’ adaptation to the ‘’Brass Barrel’’ collection, experiments and plays with the idea of soft light and transparency. The shade of the lamp is made from a rusted steel mesh which permits a large amount of light to flow through and ignite the woven pattern of the steel.
The Lamp is reduced to it’s skeleton, shamelessly showing off it’s structure and forges a rough, industrial atmosphere mixed with an organic persona.

MATERIALS
When it came to creating the form of the lamp, a key component became the industrially available ‘‘L’’ profile. We took this rigid, standardized material and shaped it into a much more organic form, blending the industrial and biological worlds and creating a lamp with unique elements and character..
